Designing A Workflow That Will Keep You On Schedule + Relaxed

The most overwhelming aspect to online entrepreneurship is your schedule/workflow.

WHY?

  1. You're subscribed to a lot of other entrepreneurs + get distracting emails daily
  2. It's hard to gauge time to seriously sit down + complete 1 task {bc 2 others are on you mind as well}
  3. What system can possibly help you control all of the wildness going on??

The first step is the total cliche of admitting you have a problem. That you're not getting anything done because you're bouncing around your day with shiny object syndrome. My cat, Eli, has a similar struggle. {he's meowing at me right now}

SO...WHAT TO DO?

I suggest finding a planner that specifically compliments your thinking process when it comes to accomplishing tasks. Until this happened for me, I was really struggling. Copying the same notes form my binder to my big calendar to my notepad...it was endless + took up WAY too much time.

But then I ordered CONQUER YOUR YEAR by Natalie MacNeil. Cue the music.

It took my brain + laid it out on paper.

PAGE 2: SPRINT ACTIONS

PAGE 3: WEEKLY TASKS

It helped me keep it all organized + happy in my brain. Where I wasn't constantly recycling tasks - worried I'd forget something. Because it was all there!

You need a workflow that helps you go from BIG PICTURE < WEEKLY VIEW >  DAILY TASKS - whatever that may be.

Some other planners I've heard great things about are:

WHAT IF I WANT TO KEEP IT ALL ONLINE?

I personally have both a hardbook planner + an online software. You can absolutely do one or the other, or both! This is all about YOUR brain, doll.

If you're working online, the project management software I recommend is definitely ASANA. I've tried others, but Asana has the most flexibility, convenience + offers the most with the free version. I love that I can access it from my phone easily as well to communicate with my team.

You can create projects {individually or as a board} + the tasks you need to complete them.

I love Asana + use it every single day.

WRAPPING UP

The bottom line is, a consistent workflow - kept track of in your favorite planner or software - will help you stick to your deadlines. It will also keep you totally relaxed because you'll be in control of your schedule + know the time it will take to get your tasks completed.

This has been a game changer for me + I hope it helps you too!
